About Richard Stockton College of New Jersey

Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is an undergraduate and graduate college of the arts, sciences and professional studies, in Pomona, which is a census-designated place and unincorporated area located within Galloway Township, in Atlantic County, in the US state of New Jersey, with over 4000 people, living within its limits, according to the 2000 census.

The college was established in 1969 and accepted its charter class in 1971. It offers its students `many of the academic, technological and cultural advantages of a large university, but with the community spirit typical of smaller colleges.`

Athletics

Richard Stockton's athletic teams are known as The Ospreys, and they compete in NCAA Division III, ECAC, with 14 varsity teams. Their distinctive colors are black, Columbia blue and white.
